Can I include a gift message and request a future delivery date with my order?

Yes you may!  There is no charge to include a gift message to accompany your order.  Simply type your message in the designated box that reads "Gift Message and/or Order Comments" on the checkout page.   To request a future delivery date, simply note the date (Mondays through Fridays only) in this section.  Please note that this date is a request only.  If the requested delivery date cannot be met, we will contact you in advance of the package shipping. We often plan a buffer day and orders can arrive a day earlier than requested.  If this is not acceptable to you, please note that in your order comments.  We will not replace/refund any orders that arrive a day or two early.   You can be assured that prices never accompany a gift.

Are your products kosher?

Every item we sell is certified kosher by the certifying agency of the purveyor from which it comes and is labeled with its certification, including items that are Kosher for Passover.  Most products are OU, STAR K, and OK.  Most baked goods are Pas Isroel.  Additional information at challahconnection.com/kosher-certification.

Do you list ingredients for your products?

Ingredients are listed for most of our baked goods in the "Care" tab on each product page.

Can I ship to multiple recipients?

Yes, you can ship to more than on recipient in a single order. To do so, set up an account. Then, if you have a quantity of more than 1 of any product, you will see a "Ship to Multiple Recipients" link at the top of the checkout page. Follow the prompts to complete the order.

Can I specify the delivery date of my order?

Yes, you can. Simply make note of your requested delivery date (Monday through Fridays) in the "Gift Message and/or Order Comments" section on the checkout page.  Read our policy regarding Holiday Future Date requests.

How much is shipping?

*Any products that are highly perishable such as: fresh fruit baskets, gluten free products, bagels and lox, certain specialty cakes and breads cannot be shipped with flat rate ground shipping.

Express Shipping:  Next Day, Two Day and Three Day are available.  To estimate shipping charges for your order, go to challahconnection.com/cart.php and click “Estimate Shipping.”  We ship via UPS within the United States, Monday through Friday from Norwalk CT.  (We do not ship to PO Boxes or International).  We ship to APO/FPO via the United States Postal Service.  Delivery times depend on location.  All orders placed after 4pm on Fridays and over the weekend are shipped on Mondays.

Packing and shipping materials such as boxes, peanuts and tape are included in all of our shipping costs.

How do I know if my order was delivered? Can I track my order?

On the day we ship, you will receive an email with a tracking number. You can track the package to see if delivery has occurred.  You can also log in to your account at challahconnection.com and click "View Order Status." Find the order in question and click "View Order Details." At the bottom of that page, you will find a clickable tracking number that will show you the UPS delivery information.

How are your gifts wrapped?

All of our gifts are beautifully wrapped with shred, cello and raffia ribbon.  Our wrapping is very attractive and we receive many compliments from our gift recipients! 

Do you have a storefront and are you a bakery?

No, we do not have a storefront and we are not a bakery.   We source products from all over the world and we ship from our warehouse in CT.  We are first and foremost an online company however, if you are in the area you may pick up your previously placed order.  Please give us at least 2 business hours to prepare your order.

What are your customer service hours?

Our customer service representatives are reachable by phone from 9:30AM-5:30PM, ET, M-F.  We are closed on weekends. For emergencies, emails are responded to outside of these hours and on weekends and holidays.  Please email challah@challahconnection.com

Where are you located?

We are located in Norwalk, CT.  All of our gift baskets are shipped from our Norwalk facility. Cheesecakes are dropped shipped from New Jersey.

Do you ship on weekends?

No, we ship Mondays through Fridays only.  

Do you offer Saturday Delivery?

Yes, UPS offers express Saturday delivery for an additional cost. If applicable, this method will be will available upon checkout.

What should I do if I have given you the wrong shipping address?

If you give us an incorrect shipping address and you catch it before we ship, PLEASE email us immediately with any corrections.  We cannot extend our guarantee to orders for which we are given the incorrect or incomplete address.  UPS will delay deliveries for any inaccuracies in a shipping address, from a wrong apartment number or wrong zip code to an incorrect street number on the street address by at least one day.  There is a $16.50 fee for a delivery re-route or address correction.  For a fast and efficient way to update your delivery information, we encourage our customers to sign up for UPS MY CHOICE,  it's easy!

 

Holiday Future Arrival Date Policy: While we carefully look at your requested delivery date, we have the option to change the delivery date after careful review of destination, occasion, days in transit and requested delivery date. Based on these factors, we may ship for an earlier delivery date (typically not more than 1-2 days) but we will NEVER schedule an order to arrive after your requested date. If an earlier delivery date is not acceptable to you, then please let us know within 1 hour of placing your order.  If your order does arrive earlier then requested, please trust that we have done this for good reason and in the interest of the most optimal arrival of your order. We will not replace/refund any orders that arrive a day or two early.

When will my order be shipped?

Unless requested for a specific date, most orders placed by 4 pm, ET will be shipped out same day. We ship daily, Monday-Friday--no shipping on Saturday or Sunday.  Orders placed after 4 PM, EST, Friday as well as Saturday and Sunday will be shipped on the following Monday. For holiday orders, please see our Holiday Future Arrival Date Policy.

When will my order be delivered?

The day that we ship is NOT considered a day in transit! Weekends are not counted as transit days. For example, a package shipped on Friday that takes "3 days in transit" will be delivered on Wednesday.   To determine the number of days your package will be in transit when shipped with GROUND SHIPPING, click for table.  Please note that UPS delivers Ground packages Monday through Friday. 

What payment options do you offer?

We accept PayPal, Apple Pay, debit cards, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover and check or money order.   If paying by check, please allow 3-4 days for the check to clear before we can ship your order.

Do you ship internationally?

No, at this time we only ship within the United States.

Will the product stay fresh if the time-in-transit is more than a day or 2?

Freshness and quality is our top priority.  You can rest assured that if our website allows you to select ground shipping it is because we know from experience that the specific product can travel that many days. Conversely, some products are programmed to be in transit no more than 2 days based on their high perishability factor. Additionally, we change our shipping methods based on the season and weather conditions.

When I receive my order, how should I store it?

Challah, cookies, rugelach, babka and other pareve baked goods can sit out in a cool, dry place for up to a week.  Apple and cinnamon walnut coffee cake should be served or frozen within 1-2 days of delivery. All baked goods freeze beautifully up to six months.  All gluten free baked goods should be served within a day of receiving or placed in the freezer for up to six months.  Gluten free challah, rolls and bagels should be placed in the freezer upon delivery.  To freeze, wrap in plastic wrap or leave in original packaging and place in freezer bag.  To defrost, take out of freezer bag and store at room temperature for several hours. Refrigeration of baked goods is not recommended. Either eat or freeze and be sure to enjoy!
