Frequently Asked Questions

Can I include a gift message with my order?

Yes you may! There is no charge to include a gift message to accompany your order. Simply type your message in the designated box on the product page or in the order instructions box on the page prior to entering your payment and it will be included with your order. No prices ever accompany a gift.

Can I ship to multiple recipients?

Yes and here's how:

Step 1: set up an account. You cannot check out as a guest for our multi ship feature to work.

Step 2: put everything in your cart that you will be sending to your recipients. If you are sending 10 of the same item, place 10 of that item in the cart.

Step 3: proceed to checkout. After you select your billing address, you will then see "Ship to multiple addresses" in large blue type. Select this and follow the prompts to completion.

Tip: if you are a new customer, enter all of your recipient addresses in your address book prior to putting items in your cart. Current customers should update their address book with recipients.

Do you have a storefront?

We are first and foremost an online company however, if you are in the area you may pick up your previously placed order. Please give us at least 2 business hours to prepare your order.

What are your customer service hours?

Our customer service representatives are reachable by phone from 9:30AM-5:30PM, EST, M-F. We are closed on weekends. For emergencies, emails are responded to outside of these hours and on weekends and holidays. Please email service@challahconnection.com

Where are you located?

We are located in Norwalk, CT. All of our gift baskets are shipped from our Norwalk facility. 

Do you ship on weekends?

No, we ship Mondays thru Fridays only.  All orders placed after 4pm EST on Fridays will ship on Mondays.

Do you offer Saturday Delivery?

Yes, UPS offers express Saturday delivery for an additional cost. If applicable, this method will be will available upon checkout.

What is a business day?

Monday thru Fridays only.  No weekends.

How much is shipping?

Economy shipping costs range from $10.50 to $14.50 depending on zip code destination and weight of package.  Please note that there is no delivery date guarantee with economy shipping, there is a date range for delivery which occur on Mondays thru Fridays only.  Ground shipping charges are generally between $14.50 and $20.50 per address, depending on the weight of your order and zip code destination. Ground packages deliver Mondays thru Fridays only.  Packing and shipping materials such as boxes, peanuts and tape are included in the shipping cost. To obtain a shipping estimate, simply place your item in the cart and click "estimate shipping" to see costs and delivery date options.

What happens if I give you the wrong shipping address?

If you give us an incorrect shipping address and you catch it before we ship, PLEASE email us immediately with any corrections. If we are not informed of incorrect addresses until after your package has shipped, additional fees will apply.  UPS will delay deliveries for any inaccuracies in a shipping address, from a wrong apartment number or wrong ZIP code to an incorrect street number on the street address by at least one day.  There is a $12.50 fee for a delivery re-route.

You can select a future delivery date, please read our policy below carefully.

Future Arrival Date Policy: While we carefully look at your requested delivery date, we have the option to change the delivery date after careful review of destination, occasion, days in transit and requested delivery date. Based on these factors, we may ship for an earlier delivery date (typically not more than 1-2 days) but we will NEVER schedule an order to arrive after your requested date. If an earlier delivery date is not acceptable to you, then please let us know within 1 hour of placing your order.

If your order does arrive earlier then requested, please trust that we have done this for good reason and in the interest of the most optimal arrival of your order. We will not replace any orders that arrive a day or 2 early.

When will my order be shipped?

Unless specifically requested for a specific date, all orders placed by 4 pm, EST will be shipped out same day. We ship daily, Monday-Friday--no shipping on Saturday or Sunday. All orders received after 4 PM, EST will be shipped the next day, Monday-Friday. Orders placed after 4 PM, EST, Friday as well as Saturday and Sunday will be shipped on the following Monday.

When will my order be delivered?

To determine the number of days your package will be in transit when shipped with GROUND SHIPPING, see the table below. VERY IMPORTANT: The day that we ship is NOT considered a day in transit! For example, a package shipped on Monday that takes "3 days in transit" will be delivered on Thursday. Please note that UPS delivers Monday through Friday. 

The following table shows # of days in transit for GROUND SHIPPING. Please note that most orders are shipped from our facility in Norwalk, CT (06855), therefore making the following states within a 1 day delivery utilizing, Ground service:  MA, RI, CT, NJ, DE, parts of PA and NY, including New York City and Philadelphia and nearby towns . If you would like a quicker method than GROUND, you may select OVERNIGHT (10:30 delivery or later in the day), 3 DAY, 2 DAY AIR or Overnight for Saturday Delivery (all are available during checkout).

Determining your shipping date

We will determine the shipping date based on the Order Delivery Date you provide us on the product page.  If you do not specify a delivery date, all orders placed by 4 PM, EST will be shipped the day we receive the order (M-F). 

What payment options do you offer?

We accept checks, PayPal, Debit cards and all major credit cards including MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. If paying by check, please allow 3-4 days for the check to clear before we can ship your order.

Do you hand-deliver orders?

We do have a local courier that can deliver same day within Fairfield County, CT.  Orders must be placed by noon.  Please call us at 866 242 5524 to get a price quote based on delivery destination from our Norwalk office.

Can I track my order?

Yes, on the day the package is shipped, you will receive an email giving you the tracking number of your UPS shipment. To track, simply click on the link provided in the email or go to UPS.com, click on the "Tracking" tab and follow the directions. Or, you may track your package on our website.

Do you ship internationally?

No, at this time we only ship within the United States.

Do you ship fresh fruit to California?

No, due to agricultural restrictions, we are prohibited from sending fresh fruit to California. 

 

Will the product stay fresh if the time-in-transit is more than a day or 2?

Yes. Cookies, challah, rugelach, babka and cakes will stay fresh for up to 7-10 days.

When I receive my order, how should I store it?

Challah, cookies, rugelach, babka and coffee cakes can sit out in a cool, dry place for up to two weeks.  All baked goods freeze beautifully up to six months.  To freeze, wrap in plastic wrap or leave in original packaging and place in freezer bag.  To defrost, take out of freezer bag and store at room temperatue for several hours. Enjoy!

If I am not satisfied with the product(s) that I order, may I return it?

If your order arrives damaged or you are not happy with it, please report this to us within 24 hours of delivery. We will do everything possible to rectify the problem, including a refund, if need be.

Substitutions

From time to time we may run short of a particular item. In that case, we will either call you to consult with you on the replacement, or we will replace the item with one that is similar in value/style.
