North African Charoset
- ½ cup pine nuts, chopped
- 1 hard-cooked egg yolk, finely chopped
- 1 apple, peeled and grated
- ½ cup sugar
½ cup ground almonds-
½ cup chopped walnuts-
Zest and juice of 1 lemon-
Ground cinnamon to taste-
Ground ginger to taste-
Red wine-add to your desired consistency
Mix all ingredients until mixture comes together. Refrigerate.
Makes about 2 cups
