Going to a Yom Kippur Break fast or hosting one? After a day of fasting, we crave foods that are light on the digestive system. Lox and bagels, cheese blintzes, gefilte fish and our favorites from the kosher bakery--rugelach, babka and black and white cookies. Yom Kippur starts at sundown on Friday, October 3 when we eat a large enough meal to keep us satisted for the next 24 hours. Break-fast starts at sundown on Saturday, October 4. Happy New Year!
