There are many legends about pomegranates which make them a popular food during the Jewish New Year. According to one legend, pomegranates contain 613 seeds - one for each of the 613 mitzvot (good deeds) we are commanded to do in the Talmud. Another reason for eating pomegranates on Rosh Hashanah has to do with the symbolic hope that our good deeds in the coming year will be as many as the seeds of the fruit.
To celebrate the pomegranate in all its sweet, seedy glory, we offer this unique new gift. A bottle of delicious Rimon pomegranate dessert wine is partnered with a bag of Go Naturally Pomegranate Flavored Organic Hard Candies (3.5 oz package) and a fresh, ripe pomegranate. All items are nestled beautifully on a pretty dark seagrass tray, and all are certified kosher.
Purchasers and recipients must be over the age of 21.
NOTES:
-Almost every item is certified kosher by a leading kosher certifier such as OU, OK, Star K and K of K. Each item is clearly marked with certification. If an item is not certified kosher, it is marked as such in the product description above.
-From time to time we may need to make substitutions for out-of-stock items. We will always do our best to substitute with item(s) that meet the spirit of the gift and of equal or greater value.
