We've taken our love of all things sweet and Mediterranean and literally expanded on it - vertically!
The bottom layer is a gorgeous gold gift box filled with more than 2 pounds of assorted baklava (the flaky, nutty, sweet pastry of the Mediterranean). This 38 piece-Mini Baklava Assortment includes 10 Classic Baklava, 10 halved Pecan Queen Baklava, 9 halved Chocolate Almond Treasures, and 9 Orange Blossom Baklava (specific pastries are described below).
- 10 Classic Baklava: Dozens of layers of crisp, buttery fillo pastry leaves, our special blend of fresh walnuts and aromatic spices, and our special honey syrup.
- 10 halved Pecan Queen Baklava: Buttery fillo baskets are bursting with golden, roasted pecans and walnuts, then bathed in honey syrup and crowned with halved pecans.
- 9 halved Chocolate Almond Treasure: Fresh almonds and walnuts rolled in crisp, buttery fillo leaves, then bathed in our honey syrup and drizzled with luscious, dark chocolate and roasted slivered almonds.
- 9 Orange Blossom Baklava: Crisp and golden buttery fillo pastry leaves, our distinctive blend of roasted walnuts and aromatic spices, and our lusciously rich orange-scented honey syrup.
Next in the tower are 12 mouthwatering mini nut tarts - 6 Pecan and 6 Pistachio. Our bakers have nestled roasted, halved pecans and pistachios in sumptuous, buttery custard, and then baked this decadent mixture in delicate, flaky fillo mini pastry shells to create our mini nut tarts. To die for!
The top layer of our Mediterranean Tower is reserved for mama's favorite - Macaroons! Also nestled in a beautiful gold display box are l12 usciously moist, chewy spirals of flaky coconut, speckled brown and perfectly toasted and drizzled in rich dark chocolate. A coconutty delight!
